Objectives
Aim of the Biblical Arts Studies
The aim of Biblical Arts Studies is to give artists and people who love the arts the necessary knowledge and understanding of the origin, purpose and appreciation of art in the Bible with the intention to develop a Biblical foundation. As a result, the contemporary Christian artists may be better equipped to fulfill God’s artistic purpose in their lives.
Biblical Arts Studies Program Objectives
1. Analyze the creative spirit.
2. Examine the creative spirit and its implication in our lives.
3. Differentiate between creative spirit and imagination.
4. Understand the purpose of the art in the Bible.
5. Identify the Biblical foundation for the arts.
6. Define the arts as a God given gift.
7. Identify and analyze the corruption of art in the Bible.
8. Discuss the misused of art in the Bible.
9. Differentiate between art as a gift from God & art-for-art-sake.
10. Study and analyze the different art manifestations in the Bible.
11. Discuss the value of the Christian art in contemporary society.
12. Explain and assess the history of Christian art.
13. Develop creative art projects from a Biblical perspective.
